Game Audio Adjustments
To improve the gaming experience, it would be beneficial to display support for both HDR and Dolby Atmos for headphones at the start of a game launch. This ensures users are aware that the game is optimized for their specific audio setup, whether it’s the default system or an alternative sound system. Implementing a feature that automatically detects and shows the supported audio formats can enhance user engagement and satisfaction.

Today’s date
Enhance the Xbox menu to include the current time, day, date, and year, with a toggle setting to display the length of the month. For example: 5:55 PM · Thursday, December 31 · Month Length: 31 (Toggle On/Off) This update will allow users to quickly view the date and time details, including how many days are in the current month, directly from the Xbox menu.

Device & Streaming Mouse
Explore the pointer speed options. Consider adding a visual indicator to show the default position for the Xbox system. Option 1: Default (Between Slow & Fast): This setting provides a balance between slow and fast pointer speeds. Option 2: Recommended (In the Mouse Speed Box): Opt for the recommended setting within the mouse speed box. Option 3: Reset to Default: Use this option to restore the settings to their default values.

Xbox Accessories - Test Mode
Xbox Accessories - Test Mode: this is a minor issue, but it would be helpful to add indicators for RB1 and RB2. This way, when a key is pressed, users will know which side number is being activated. Currently, only the RB icon pops up on the screen without indicating the specific side. Joystick Behavior: When using the joystick, it doesn’t show whether you’re between points. The joystick movements are currently pinpointed as a cross. It’s possible that this behavior is consistent with Xbox controller movement. Interestingly, mouse users seem to have better control in games, although the reason behind this difference isn’t entirely clear.

Xbox gold live.
To enhance the user experience, the following improvements could be implemented: Directly upgrade subscriptions to bypass the gift card step, streamline the account time purchasing process for immediate account credit, ensure the Xbox Store Gold page functions efficiently without redirecting to the benefits page, and clearly distinguish active from inactive Gold status, simplifying the process of purchasing or renewing subscriptions.

Achievement Repeating
Having a repeat option when viewing recent achievements. Here’s how it could work: When you see an achievement in the list, a “Repeat” option would appear, as if you had just earned the achievement again. Clicking the three lines button (often called a hamburger menu) would reveal the two options: “Repeat Achievement” and “Close”. The purpose of repeating an achievement wouldn’t affect your game score, but it would showcase that you’ve accomplished it again. This way, if someone else on your list earns the same achievement, you can motivate yourself to achieve it multiple times.

Next Xbox Subscription upgrade
Flexible Payment Options: Allowing users to pay extra for Game Pass or Xbox Live Gold during the next Xbox upgrade is a great idea. If users decide to stop the extra payment, the amount would be added to their Microsoft account balance, which they can then spend in the Xbox store. The 1-week grace period for re-instating the payment before cancellation provides flexibility. Re-Instatement Cost: Charging extra for re-instating the payment (up to 3 months at a maximum of $8 extra) encourages commitment and helps prevent cancellations. Locking Users In: This approach could indeed lock people into their next Xbox upgrades, ensuring a smoother transition. Trade-In Considerations: For users who trade in their Xbox, the additional 3 months for timely delivery is a thoughtful touch. Not penalizing users for failing to upgrade later on without an extra fee is fair. Balance Lock-In: The 1-month lock-in limit ensures that the Microsoft account balance has sufficient funds to cover 3 months of payments if canceled.

Toggle Option for Hidden App & Game Areas:
Xbox Store Menu Enhancement: Introduce new categories: “Hidden Games” and “Hidden Applications”Provide toggle options! Toggle Hidden Games: Enable or disable the display of hidden games. Toggle Hidden Applications: Manage the visibility of hidden applications. Implement a simple 3-bar list to display apps and games, making hidden items easily accessible without complex key combinations. Maintain existing combination keys for traditional navigation. Game Area Options: Games , Install , Hidden  | Application Area Options: Application , Install , Hidden.

Remove extra settings and add Xbox system history
Ease of Access ChangesEliminate the Cortana setting from Xbox’s Ease of Access due to its discontinuation, remove the sign-out content restrictions to prevent redundancy with family settings, provide detailed notes on recent updates in the Update History, inform users about future system upgrades, and list applications that have been removed from support.

“Messages from Xbox store”

This could be used for the following.

·        Wish list.
·        Price drop.
·        Pre-order released ready to be used.
·        Promo codes

Now to get messages like this added to “Messages from Xbox store” we mark them inside the Xbox store. This would be for example favoriting whatever we picked in the store or choosing update notification on release on buy-out.

This would be a new area under “messages from Xbox live” this way people do not get confused on official Xbox staff messages to Xbox mark place messages.

Do Not Add Here At All Messages Xbox live only.

·        Enforcement
·        Xbox Gold Run Out
·        Your report has been successful
·        Xbox payment redeemed
·        Xbox contact information's of any type.

Game Message notifications.

Thier is times events that go on and not everyone knows a game has a holiday content download. I want two types of opt in & out notifications.

·        Xbox store downloadable data notifications
·        In game only content event notifications

This can be toggled on and off when setting up Xbox for the very first time.

When we wish not not use it anymore we can go into our Xbox settings to toggle on/off under our “subscriptions”, as it’s a notification subscription we are using and makes sense to have the opted options in this area.

Gamesharing!

People do not understand what game-sharing means or how it might work and affect them. As 99% of people think of it incorrectly, Microsoft has mislabeled it by calling it game-sharing. They have never corrected anyone or provided important information when selecting the game-share option, thus avoiding the true meaning and its game-share limits. In reality, two copies of a game can be used at once with owner rights. The Xbox doesn’t truly have this feature; it’s more of a loophole that end-users use to run the game more than once. Xbox’s idea of game sharing is if you own the game and make the Xbox your home console, everyone can play the owner’s games under that Xbox. Unfortunately, this has led to widespread misunderstanding among users. I believe having proper game sharing on Xbox would be beneficial. This would mean shared accounts are locked out of the main campaign of games, and game owner rights become even more critical at this point.

Rules (Game-sharing)

This is game sharing done right! Not full copies of the games throughout the house, but rather a way to play without buying full games. I believe this is more in line with the spirit and idea of game sharing that companies are exploring and will offer to us.

GamePass is a form of rental rights and isn’t primarily about sharing. However, the full game can still be shared between accounts. This serves as an excellent example of full game sharing, as everyone with Game Pass can share a complete game without restrictions. (Again, this isn’t traditional game-sharing, but rather an example of full sharing—imagine if each game were allowed on home networks with no limits to play.) I’m sharing this thought for better understanding, so people can recognize the differences in game licensing.

There is no option for game-sharing on Xbox, and they should create an area to facilitate this type of sharing. That way, more than one member of the household can use the same game.

This limitation prevents shared users from playing solo games; they can only access multiplayer games unless they are partied together in the same game. If the owner leaves and tries to switch to another game, it would force the shared game to close. Essentially, any new multiplayer-to-solo transitions are disabled on the owner’s account until the shared user logs out forcefully or peacefully. However, if the shared user has their own rights to the game content, they can continue playing freely within those limits.

Owners and shared accounts cannot host games this way. If they get forcefully logged out, it reduces the chance of them negatively impacting other players’ game experiences.

Shared accounts will have an icon in multiplayer lobbies, allowing others to assess whether a game is worth playing with the group.

The game owner’s account must extend an invitation to the shared accounts for this system to function.

Owner leaves the game, and shared accounts leave as well, but if there are more shared accounts on the network, this would open a ‘party line’ so shared accounts can rejoin the game if allowed. As long as the shared account didn’t end their party session by entering a new game, they should be able to continue playing. However, logging out of the account is uncertain, as the connection between all Xbox consoles might still be established. We wouldn’t want to force a complete reboot of all Xbox consoles via a game owner invite.

Owners can re-enter shared games without any issues. This allows the game to be closed without affecting the other shared game on their Xbox home network. In other words, the game owner can watch Mixer or YouTube while waiting for the shared Xbox to finish up, without experiencing unfair game close treatment from Xbox.

Owner Xbox will disable auto shutdown when it recognizes a shared game established connection.

Game owner message: This will bring up a notification saying that if you log in, it will log out all devices. Additionally, if you break the home networking connection, it will close the game. This prevents any loopholes that people might try to exploit to allow more games to work than originally intended. Turning off the Xbox also breaks the connection to home networking sharing. Each game will provide the console with a recognizable connection key for normal users. This prevents individuals from setting up a program or device to falsely claim it’s still connected to the main owner’s Xbox when it’s not. Ultimately, this ensures that people cannot freely use full copies of games for which they have no rights.

Extra Thoughts.

Owner-locked campaign, if possible, when sharing. I believe this should be an owner’s right when not sharing.

Owner multiplayer is disabled if the shared account is still in a multiplayer game and not partied with shared accounts anymore.

Not allowing a game to start without a shared logout once you leave the game and try to start anew

End thoughts!

There is a lot of work that Xbox needs to do and rules they must follow to make true game sharing happen.
